Anja and Vladek Spiegelman get married.

Three Jewish men were hung for being caught up selling things in the black market. They were left up for a week as a way to scare the remaining Jews in the ghetto.

Nazi Germany declares war on the United States.

British troops defeat German troops causing them to retreat across Libya.

Vladek is moved in to the ghettos and if forced to work in the shops of Sosnoweic.

The first signs of the mass genocide was fromed, the Ghettos. The ghettos were created a bit after the 8 days of passover.

The ghetto that Elie and his family were residing in was liquidated. Everyone was fored to leave and they had to run on foot without stopping.

Vladek and Anja go into hiding in hopes of not being caught by the Nazis. Vladek and Anja almost get caught so the lady that they were staying with told them about smugglers.

Anja and Vladek go with the smugglers, but the smugglers turn against them and they turn both of them into the nazis. Anja and Vladek get split up on their way to Auschwitz.

Non-Communists ride against Germany to try and liberate one of the concentration camps.

It was Yom Kippur and Elie was meant to fast but that year he didn't because he wanted to, in a way, defy God. In his words he, "Felt a great void opening." (Wiesel, 69)

Dr. Mengele with the help of the SS officers held selection. Selection is when it's determined if you're going to stay alive or be killed.

As a task fro work Vladek has to visit Birkenau where Anja is and he gets to see her,

Elie's father became too weak to go on living and he passed away from sickness and dysentry. It tore Elie apart and he no longer found a reason to live.

In the winter of 1945 Elie found out that he had to get surgery in the infirmary on his swelled up foot. Then he heard rumors about the Russian front coming in so after he had surgery his father and him made the executive decision to leave. They had the chance to stay and test their fate or he could go with everybody else. Two days after Elie and his father left the infimray was liberated.

Elie is liberated from the camp by the American's.

Germany surrenders to the western Allies after Hitler commits suicide and things go ocmpletely down hill.

Anja Spiegelman commits suicide. She survives the Holocaust but late kills herself.

Vladek Spigelman Dies.

Elie is given the honor of obtaining a Nobel Peace prize for his book Night and impact on Holocaust learning.
