  • Neonate(0-1 months)

    HR: 90-180 BP: systolic 50-70 RR:30-60 Temp:98-100F
  • Infant(1 month-1y)

    HR:100-160 RR:25-50 BP:Systolic 70-95 Temp.:96.8-99.6F
    Pshycosocial:2months-can track objects with eyes. 3m-can bring objects to mouth. 4-6m-Reaches out, Sleeps through night, Teething. 7-12m-Afraid of strangers, responds to "no", Pulls self up, Responds to name, Starts to walk w/o help, knows name, can walk.
    Physical: Fontanelles Fuse. Nervous system and all other systems start to develop. Usually weighs 6-8 lbs. Grow about 30g per day. effectively doubling their weight.
  • Middle Adults(41-60y)

    Vitals same as early adult.
    Physical:Vision and Hearing loss. Cardiovascular health becomes problem. Menopause for women. Diabetes, hypertension may occur.

    Psychosocial: focus on achieving life goals. Adjust lifestyle for children top leave home. Finances become worry.
  • School (6-12y)

    HR:70-120 RR:15-20 BP:systolic 80-110

    Physical:Grow 4lbs and 2 1/2 cm per year. Permanent Teeth come in. Brain activity increases.
    Pshycosocial:Pre-conventional reasoning develops. As does conventional reasoning and postconventional reasoning. Self-esteem and self-concept develop.
  • Adolescent(12-18y)

    HR:60-100 RR:12-20 BP:systolic 90-110
    Physical:2-3 year growth spurt where muscles and bones increase in strength. Maturation on reproductive system. Acne can occur.
    Psychosocial:Family conflict. Privacy becomes issue. Self-conciousness increases. Create Identity. Rebellious behavior. Interest in sexual relationships. Suicide and depression are at high point.
  • Early Adult(19-40y)

    HR, RR: same as adolescent BP: 90-140
    Physical:19-25 is optimal function. Life long habits solidify. Height can be affected by spinal discs settling.

    Psychosocial: Work, Family, Stress. Create a place for themselves in the world. Create a family. Stable period of life.
  • Toddler(1-3y)

    HR:90-150 RR:20-30 BP:systolic 80-100 Temp>.:96.8-99.6F
    Pshycosocial:Separation anxiety peaks 10-18 months, 36m-basic language mastered. Full sentences understood. Begin to interact with other children.

    Physical:Bronchioles continue to develop. Loss of passive immunity. Learning to use muscles. Potty training.
  • Preschool(3-6y)

    HR:80-140 RR:20-25 BP:systolic 80-100 Temp.: 98.6F
    Physical: Same as toddler
    Psychosocial: same as toddler.
  • Late Adults(61+)

    Vitals depend on health.
    Physical:Average lifespan is 78. overall health decreases.
    Psychosocial:Terminal drop hypothesis. 95% live at home.
