The Phoenix Settlement comprised of 100 acres of land and was purchased by Gandhiji in 1904. It was on this Settlement that Gandhi started his journey of transforming from a successful Lawyer to a simple Peasant with a passion for liberation, nonviolence and spirituality. -
In November 15 of 1915 Gandhi was elected as the vice president of Gujarat Sabha. Gujarat Sabha was a public political organization formed and based in the Indian state of Gujarat. -
Gandhi was the political and spiritual leader of the Indian Independence movement. He was assassinated by a Hindu extremist.
