Pip meets the convict at the marshes, where he threatens Pip and blackmails him into bringing him food and a file. Pip is haunted by this encounter for many years. -

Pip goes to Satis House to play with Miss Havisham. There, he meets Estella, who is very insulting and proud, but also very beautiful. He falls in love with her, but she only criticizes him. -

Jaggers tells Pip that he has an anonymous benefactor who is going to sponsor him to become a gentleman. Pip is extremely excited and believes his benefactor to be Miss Havisham. -
Befriends Herbert
Pip befriends the pale young gentleman from Satis House. Herbert teaches Pip how to be a gentleman and proper manners, and the two soon become best friends. -
Anonymously Benefacts Herbert
After Pip comes into inheritance, he anonymously sponsors Herbert so he can go into a partnership. -
Benefactor Revealed
The convict turns out to be Pip's benefactor becuase he was gracious Pip helped him that one day in the marshes. -
Doesn't Want Magwitch to Die
Pip grows attached to Magwitch and does not want him to die. He realizes that Magwitch was good at heart and prays God to be merciful. -

Moved to Cypress
I moved to Cypress in the summer of 2005. My family and I moved into our first house, and I was so excited to finally have my own room. -
Met Bjorklunds
My family befriended our neighbors, the Bjorklunds. They were very close family friends and their youngest daughter was mine and my brother's best friend. -
First Time Leaving Home
My brother and I spent a whole month in Kansas with our cousins. It was the first time I had left home for so long. It was a great summer, and I had a blast. -
Read 100 Books
My New Year's resolution was to read 100 books in a year, and I am proud to say that I accomplished this goal. -
District Champion
I won 1st place in the district finals for my junior high swim team. I was very excited and proud to have accomplished this. -
League Prelims and Finals
For swim, I won 1st place in my event for pre-lims. Unfortunately, for finals, I came in 2nd. I was very disappointed, but glad because my time had dropped. -
Free Teeth
After 3 1/2 years of wearing braces, I finally got them off on Thursday. I am so glad that my teeth are healthy and shiny!
