Pip meets the Convict when he is around 5 or 6 years old. This is where the story begins and the man that Pip meets is the reason he goes to London and gets to become a gentleman. -

Pip meets Miss Havisham and Estella.
Miss Havisham and Estella have a great impact on Pip's life. Pip falls in love with Estella and for the longest time he believes that Miss Havisham wants them to be together. Estella refuses Pip at first and he also saves Miss Havisham later in the novel. -
Pip goes to London.
Pip meets Pumblechook who first recognizes that he has "great expectations" and soon after Pip is on his way to London. This is where Pip's dream of becoming a gentleman begins. -
Pip meets Herbert.
Herbert is the pale young gentleman that Pip fought while at the Satis House. Meeting Herbert is important becuase Herbert helps Pip in his life in London and he becomes his best friend. -
Pip finds out who his benifactor is.
This is a very important event in Pip's life. This is when he realizes that Miss havisham does not want him and Estella to be together and this is the beginnig of Pip's recovery to reality. When he begins to see the way he used to be and changes. -
Magwitch dies.
When Magwitch dies, Pip has made quite a transformation. He has learned to be loyal and has just been with Magwitch on his death bed. Losing Magwitch does cause Pip some pain but he is able to move on and be a better person. -
Pip sees Estella in the garden.
Pip goes back to the garden at the Satis House and runs into Estella. He knows that he has never really stopped loving her and he learns that she may love him back. This is the end, where Pip has gotten what he wanted all along. -

Fingers smashed in the car.
When I was YOunger i always used to suck on my middle finger and pointer finger. For the longest time my parenst could not get me to stop. One day my sister smashed them in the car door and I never sucked them again. This is significant because it was the day one of my old habits died hard. -
My grandpa dies.
The day my grandfather died was very important because this was my first experience with death and loss. It was a hard time for my family and I but from it i learned to become emotionally strong and stable. -
Fractured me sister's ankle.
Toward's the end of my sister's 8th grade year, I fractured her ankle while we were learning to roller skate. This was an important date because for the next six months I was in charge of doing my chores and her chores. I learned what its like to work hard. -
Coming to Oxford.
Coming to Oxofrd has been one of the best choices I have ever made. Not only is this school great for academics, this is also the place where i have found myslef. This is where learned to be the out spoken person that I am and I have made many friends that I will never forget. -
Going to Washington D.C.
My trip to Washington D.C. was very life changing. Going to the nation's capitol allowed me to see the place where our nation's history took place and going to memorials, like The Holocaust Museum, helped me gain a more emtional experience of the part. -
Getting my dog.
My family got our dog Candie in Septmber. Getting her is an important part of my life because she has brought a lot of joy to our family and seeing her face continues to remind me of the joy that there can be in the world.
