Life at Sea

The voyage begins

Oct 6, 1529

Today is the day where we set sail on the Jnf. As the captain, i am especially excited for this expedition. We have been sent off to explore Europe. Our objective is to see if trade is possible and beneficial.

Day 1 at sea

Oct 7, 1529

Today is our first day at sea. So far things are going pretty smoothly. Our first stop is Venice, Italy. The crew seem to be getting along very well, and the cooperatin is at an all time high.

Arrived at Italy

Oct 24, 1529

We have arrived at Venice, Italy today. It is the early morning and I have sent my crew out to scope out the ports. I have decided to stay on the caravel and catch up on some rest. The sky is looking dark and cloudy so i"m hoping that it doesnt storm.

A rough day at sea

Nov 2, 1529

We are headed to our second port, which is London. We are about halfway there and a bad storm hit. We have decided to put the anchor down and wait it out due to the unsafe conditions.This is going to cost us a lot of time, but i need to keep my crew safe.

Finally at London

Nov 5, 1529

We have finally arrived at London. The storm lasted a lot longer than we had expected. At least the crew and I got to catch up on some rest after all the hard wokr we have been putting in. We are very low on supplies, so we plan to restock here in London. Although, if the prices are too high we might have to stick it out because we have nothing to trade.

Another day at sea

Nov 8, 1529

We are at sea yet again, but at least the sky is clear. We are sailing smoothly towards Amsterdam. We are most likely going to arrive within the next 3 days. But that is only if the weather stays the way it is now.

Amsterdam awaits

Nov 12, 1529

We arrived at Amsterdam late last night. My crew wants to dock for a day and rest but I know the right thing to do is to carry on. It is the early morning now and we do not plan on stocking up on supplies today. Our next stop is Antwerp. Hopefully out supplies will last.

Well on our way to Le Havre

Nov 22, 1529

The weather has decided to get nasty again so we havent gotten very far at all.Also, a disease seems to have broken out on the ship. I'm hoping it is just the flu. If it 's any worse, we could be in some trouble.

Welcomed at Le Havre

Dec 2, 1529

We have arrived at Le Havre. My crew memebers are not doing very well so Ihave decided to take 2 days off just strctly for them to get their health in check. We have stocked up on supplies and should be able to make it all the way back. This will delay us for some time, but it is worth making sure everyone is healthy.

Our final port

Dec 15, 1529

We have arrived at or final port of this voyage. We have had some diifficulties but we have all powered through. This expedition has gone just as planned and couldn't be happier. The flu is gone and everyone is well and back to themselves once again. There is a party back at home waiting for us.

We are home at last. We didn't make it back before the year is overm, but I'm still proud of us. I am very pleased with my crew and myself. This expedition couldn't have gone any better.
