    Surat is the next port that our ship stopped at. Here we gathered wood to repair the boat and more fresh water for evryone. The westtern india country was upheld by the British. The next day we took of and headed to our next port.

    Today when we were on our way to drop off are spices to London were were attacked by natives of the coast. They stole all of our food forcing us to buy more food in London but barley enough for 1 meal a day. This then caused starvation killing 3 more crew members.

    On the boat a new sickness has been caught by one of the sailors. The sailor has caught the disease of typhus. This when the a sailor is bit by lice causing the sailor to start having headaches and muscle pain. Not many people survive typhus and the disease can spead quickly causing many people to become sick.

    This morning we woke up to 3 broken sails and cracks in the side of our boat due to the storm last night. Our boat can barley stay afloat. This will result in 3 days work or repair and slow us down so that we cannot get our food for another 3 days

    Today were are getting supplies for the winter to keep warm. We have collected warm blankets, hats and gloves. The only problem was that we only got 20 pairs of hats and gloves so the captian had to make a decision of who would get aq pair. This made it hard on the captian because he wnated everyone to like him but he knew if he didnt give them want they wanted there would be consequences

    The next port we arrived in Calcutta. This port in east india was controlled by the British. We collected our trading goods and talked to the emperor for a ehile and left to our next port. This trip was rough because we lost 10 more men due to typus.

    This port is off the coast of the Indian Ocean. This trade route was occupied by the Portuguese during this time. When we arrived we docked our ship and unloaded the ship with our trading goods. Once we traded our goods we left the Capital of Oman and went on to our next prot.

    Are next port was Lisbon in lisbon we go fresh water and new supplies for the next port. When we are got to the port we gave are tea and spices. We got our spices after they treated us to an amazing meal. We left late at night for our next port.

    Dejima
    Degima an island in Nagasaki was curretly being comtrolled bu the poruguese. We were reaching winter and needed to pay for supplies for this winter. We we unloaded our ship with our spices and tea we used some of that money to buy our blankets and clothes for this winter. But on our way out we were jumped by natives and lost all of our clothes focing us to buy more clothes making this trip priceless.
