Addled by a cocktail of experimental drugs prescribed to treat his severe COVID-19 case, President Donald Trump orders the nuclear strike of Tehran over Twitter. In an unprecedented move, the military refuses to carry out the order and looks to VP Pence. An emergency session of Congress is convened to remove Trump from office, but MAGA loyalists and Vice President Pence prohibit this from happening. Trump and the Republican party suffer tremendously in the polls as a result. -
2020 Election
The 2020 election, seeing a record number of voters and massive amounts of mail-in ballots, lasts from Nov 3 to Nov 7. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris win handily, securing 382 electoral votes against Trump and Pence's 156. Democrats secure a slim majority in the Senate (52-48) and expand their majority in the House. Trump decries the election as fraudulent. -
Jan 6: Capitol Insurrection
During the certification of the 2020 election results, Trump supporters storm the Capitol and overwhelm Capitol Police. Some Congress people are unable to escape in time and some are taken hostage by the MAGA invaders. In a stunning move, Trump goes to the Capitol and declares victory in the election. Several congresspeople and Vice President Pence are hung in the House chamber by insurrectionists. Military units storm the capitol and kill MAGA invaders. Trump is arrested. Pelosi assumes prez.
