    I began Girl Scouts in 1st grade and stayed through 6th grade. I loved giving back to my community. I am still giving as a teacher.

    I graduated from the Timberlane Regional School District in 1999. I knew I would want to continue on to college. I also had some pretty good ideas about how teachers should and should not teach by this point.

    After high school, I attended Franklin Pierce College, Northern Essex Community College, and finally graduated from River College in 2008... All while working full time. During my student teaching at Pollard School in Plaistow, NH, I found my passion in special education.

    Working at a job I love in my own neighborhood!
    After working in NH for 2 years as a case manager, I was given the opportunity to work in Haverhill, MA (near my own neighborhood) with a group of special education students. This job made me remember why I love teaching. It was a difficult, yet rewarding year.

    I returned to school to continue my education as a teacher and a life long learner. I will always be a student and will forever be a teacher.
