    In high school, my favorite teacher was Mr. Stephenson. He was my AP U.S History and AP European History teacher. Aside from loving history and adoring the content of both courses, I also loved him as an educator. He was so passionate about the topics he taught. He brought that passion every day into the classroom. He discussed often why the study of history is vital to a healthy society. He pushed us to go past the basic understanding that we had of major historic events.
