The war actually started in 1920 while disputes were happening before then. He made appointments for members which extremely helped some of their jobs and positions and in the end most to all of the members owed Stalin their position to him which let him build his base.     January 21st, 1924 Lenin died. Stalin rose to power after Lenin's stroke which happened after surgery. He was never the same so Stalin decided to isolate Lenin from the communist party while in recovery. Stalin the Secretary General was one of the few people who had access to Lenin. Lenin made a testament against Stalin, but suffered a heart attack which paralyzed him. Stalin was given the testament and found that it would have finished his career. Lenin died from a stroke.     May 30th, Memorial Day. Republic Steel workers were protesting after losing their jobs outside a mall in Chicago. They were met by a line of police officers. words were said and the protesters were told to stand down. Stalin had many secrets and some not known to this day. in 1941 Stalin's "agents" got word of a attack on Pearl Harbor, which was led to be a alternate route from attacking Communist Russia because of their oil.     1941 at the start of the second World War President Roosevelt declared national emergency. During the war 24,000 military personnel were scattered between 17 buildings.
