    A Mexican commander ordered the people gonzales to return the cannon, but they refused and buried itin a peach orchard.Texan & Mexican both sent for help.The mexians sent one hundred men to take he cannon while James & his group was all the Texans got.The night before the battle they dug up the cannon.The battle was early that morning of October 2,1835. The mexican soilders reteted and the texans won.This battle was named The Battle of Gonzales.

    Stephen F. Austin the Commander and General of the volunteer army of Texas made plans to attack General Cos and his mexican troops in San Antonio.Stephn sent his Colonel James Bowie and Captain James W. Fannin to find a camp site for the men in their hands.They leaders camped two miles from San Antonio in an old mission.The grop found a horse shoe bend in the San Antonio River.After they waited for Austin and the rest of the army to come.That morning they were attacked by 275-400 mexicans.
