On the 10th or 11th of June 323 BC, Alexander the Great died in the Palace of Nebuchadnezzar II, in Babylon, at the age of 32. Dtails differ slightly - Plurarch's account is that roughly 14 days before his death, Alexander entertained admiral Nearchus, and spent the night and the next day drinking Medius of Larissa.
