John Kay invented the flying shuttle in 1733 to help weavers to weave wider fabrics and produce each fabric faster. Some of these inventions are not used today because they have been "updated" to be faster at what they do.

The spinning Jenny was invented by James Hargreaves to help spin cotton using eight spindles by turning a wheel.

Water Frame

Richard Arkwright invented the water frame which was like the spinning frame but it was powered by water.

Spinning Mule

Samuel Compton invented the spinning mule to spin cotton, it should features of both the spinning jenny and the water frame.

Robert Fulton invented the steam boat to allow transportation over water.

Richard Trevithick innovated the idea of the locomotive to help people and goods get from place to place faster. This was very helpful in the earlier years because there wasn't that many forms of transportation.

Henry Bessemer invented a machine to inexpensively mass produce steel. Using Steel helped build structures for tall buildings. Although over time steel loses its strength and can collapse.

Louis Pasteur invented pasteurization when he discovered that bacteria can grow in our food in things like milk. This would help keep human healthier.

Thomas Edison, one of the most most well known inventors. Without Edisons invention we would be sitting in classrooms all day with candles instead of electric lighting. Including electricity we have became to dependent on artificial lighting.

Nikola Tesla invented electricity, this was one of things humans most likely would not be able to live without today. It is EVERYWHERE. A bad thing about this is we have become too dependent on this.
