    Iron Metallurgy becomes a known process in Western Asia, South East Europe, and North Africa. South East Europe.

    Metallurgy allowed for iron to be manipulated and created into products for trade.

    Secondary Effects of trade

    Influence on language: Texts were exchanged between Indians and South East Asians. This influenced language; scripts and storytelling materials were traded. Languages were also interpreted for trading purposes.
    Diversity: Intermingling of people from different cultures occurred. The winds had very specific patterns and if missed, travelers would be stuck until they picked back up again.

    Technology- the dhow.

    This is a much more slender boat that has a lateen sail. It was long and could carry teams in bulk. This was designed to better adapt to the monsoon winds and for larger trade. This was adapted by the Arabs, Indians, and Chinese.
