    The period of time including the months January, Feburary, and March. "First Quarter" or "Quarter One" are terms often associated with tax related deadlines.

    Individual Tax Return Filing Period - 1040, 1040A, and 1040EZ

    Individuals filing form 1040 will file their tax returns during this time frame. The first date that you can file will vary depending on the date that the IRS authorizes. Typically the date will fall between January 15th and Feburary 1st. The last date that you can file this type of tax return is April 15th, unless you file an extension to file your tax return. If you are planning to file for an extension make sure you consult your tax professional for guidance on making your estimated payment!

    Business Payments made to certain recipients - Forms 1097, 1098, 1099, 3921, 3922, and W2-G

    All business owners if filing these forms in paper form, must file them during this time frame. If filing electronically you have until March 31st.
  • Delaware Corporations Franchise Taxes & Annual Report Due

    If you own a Delaware Corporation (Inc's) you are required to file an annual report and pay your corporate franchise taxes on or before March 1st annually. Your registered agent should be notifying you of this at the beginning of the year to ensure you are not charged any late fees or penalties!

    Corporations and S-Corporations Tax Return Filing Period - Form 1120, 1120S, and 1065

    All business owners must file their corporate tax returns during this time frame. If you elect to file Form 7004 for a filing period extension, you are still required to make an estimated payment! Seek guidance from your accountant on how to make your payment, and for how much.

    If you own a Delaware Limited Liability Company (LLC's) you are required to file an annual report and pay your corporate franchise taxes on or before June 1st annually. Your registered agent should be notifying you of this at the beginning of the year to ensure you are not charged any late fees or penalties!
