In 1914, Franz Ferdinand and his wife decided to tour the Capital in a convertible. They were turning a corner when they were shot a killed. This event caused Austria-Hungary to declare war on Serbia, officially starting WW1.

When Germany declared war on Russia was when Germany officially entered WW1. Germany saw Russia as a big threat. Germany also strived to be a “world power.”

This occurred during the final phase of WW1. This Revolution removed Russia from the war. The Russian empire was transformed. The war that WW1 created in Russia almost made the revolution inevitable.

Russia’s participation in WW1 officially ended when the treaty of Brest-litovsk was signed by the Soviet Government of Russian and the central powers. Because of this, Germany now only had to fight one-front war.

This treaty marked the end of WW1. However, it put all of the blame on Germany for starting the war, destruction, and aggression. Therefore, there were new boundaries set for Germany.

After WW1, the League of Nations was formed. It was a group who tried to solve problems/disputes of countries before they went into warfare again. An effort for international peace.
