    Hindenburg's term as president was ending in the spring of 1932. He won again so Hitler didn't win but Hitler became Chancler.

    President Paul von Hindenburg appointed Hitler Chancellor. The Reichstag building went up in flames and Nazis blames Communists.

    President Hindenburg died. Hitler combined the offices of Reich Chancellor and President, declaring himself leader Reich.
