President Paul von Hindenburg names Adolf Hitler Chancellor of Germany. Becoming Chancellor means you are now leader of whatever party is in charge. (For Hitler, this would mean the Nazi Party)

Hitler, already Chancellor, is now elected to be the President of Germany. German President Paul von Hindenburg, was old, and on his deathbed. Hitler made Hindenburg sign a bill saying once the President dies, the Chancellor then becomes President.
