    Developed in a Cambridge University computer lab solely to watch a coffee maker so they knew when it was empty so they wouldn't waste a trip.

  • Google domain registered

    Google domain registered
    The domain name for Google was registered.

  • Wikipedia

    Wikipedia is launched. It paved the way for collective web content generation/ social media

  • Myspace

    Myspace
    Myspace "opened it's doors" in 2003 and was at the time the most popular social networking site.

  • Twitter

    Twitter was launched in 2006. Originally planned to be called twittr, like flickr. First tweet was "just setting up my twttr"

  • Internet Election

    All of the candidates had facebook or twitter or both. Ron Paul fundraised $4.3 Million dollars in one day using the internet.
