    Saint Ignatius High School is founded
    Saint Ignatius High school is founded by a German Jesuit under the direction of Bishop Richard Gilmour. At first it was a six-year secondary schol and went under the name Saint Ignatius College. It was the twentieth Jesuit sponsered secondary school in the United States.
  • The Main Building is completed

    The Main Building is completed
    The main building of Saint Ignatius High School is completed. But without the addition of the Math Wing and computer labs. It has now been named a Cleveland Historic Landmark.
  • The High School and College seperate

    The High School and College seperate
    Saint Ignatius College is split up into the four year Saint Ignatius High School and the four year John Carroll University. The university moved out of Cleveland and into what is currently University Heights, Ohio.
  • The Alma Mater is composed

    The Alma Mater is composed
    In 1937 Saint Ignatius High School's alma mater was composed by Jack Hearns Sr.
  • The School is placed on the National Register of Historic Places

  • The School is declared a Blue Ribbon School

    The school is declared a Blue Ribbon School for the 1984-1985 school year by the United States Department of Education.
  • The Rade Dining Hall is Finished

    In August 2007, the 3.3 million dollar Rade Dining Hall was finshed with construction.
  • The school is declared a Blue Ribbon School (again)

    The school is declared a Blue Ribbon School (again)
    The school is once again made a Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education for the 2008-2009 school year.
  • The Xavier Center is replaced

    The Xavier Center is replaced
    In August, the Xavier Center was replaced by the $11.5 million dollar, state-of-the-art Breen Center for the Perorming Arts.
