Well-liked principal, she allowed staff to make budget and curricular decisions. Saw Pine Creek HS was about to be built, brought in IB, and RHS became a National School of Excellence. Back to back to back to back state football champions, world-class band program - RHS was the school everyone wanted their students in.

Strong suppporter of IB, made many more executive decisions than the principal before.

A school that offers AP, AVID and not IB, Pine Creek was built to the north of RHS and drew many students away. A fierce rivalry exist to this day.

In response to a beloved teaching being diagnosed with cancer, RHS begins Bald for Bucks. Students, teachers, community members, shave their heads to raise mone for cancer awareness. RHS is third in the nation for amount of money raised.

Came from Oakland, CA; not well accepted at first because the school wanted their AP at the time, Kolette Back to become the principal. Kolette became the principal of rival Pine Creek, and is still the principal. Pte Alvarez has gained acceptance from the staff.
