Ayr Community collects a petition to reguest a High School be built in Ayr. It was drafted by the Ayr State School Committee and forwardded to the department of public education.

A Secondry Department opened at Ayr State School. It offered acadenmic, commercial, domestic science and manual trainuing subjects.

Queensland Goverment decided to build a High and Intermediate School on 10 acres set aside for fair grounds and sports areas.
