    Arrive in the capital of Greece - home of gods and goddesses, and the birthplace of democracy. Begin exploring.
  • Tour City, explore Plaka, fun evening

    Tour City, explore Plaka, fun evening
    A local guide shows us the city, including the Theater of Dionysos, the Agora and the Greek Parliament. Behold the immense temple of the Acropolis, boasting the spectacular Parthenon. Later we explore the Plaka. This evening we enjoy a rousing Mousaka and Sousta.
  • Delphi, then on to Patras

    Delphi, then on to Patras
    Explore Delphi, a mystical city that inspires images of bronze chariots, sacrificial altars and goddesses. Discover a world of soothsaying at the oracle site, where a woman answered questions using powers of prophecy afforded her by Apollo. Then we're off to Patras.

    Mt. Olympus, steamer overnight to Italy
    Visit the legendary home of the Greek gods of Mount Olympus and see the site of the original Olympic Games. Retrun to Patras to catch the overnight steamer to Italy.

    Arrive in Italy and journey thorugh the countryside to Sorrento.
  • Pompeii and Capri

    Pompeii and Capri
    We visit legendary Pompeii, a bustling Roman city buried by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD. Then we cross the Bay of Naples to enjoy the chic reosrt island of Capri.
  • Rome - the Eternal City

    Rome - the Eternal City
    We journey to Rome and continue our adventure as a local guide leads us on a tour of the Colosseum, the Arch of Constantine and Trajan's Column.
  • Vatican City

    Vatican City
    Today we view famous works of religious art, including Michelangelo's Pieta in St. Peter's Basilica and the Creation of Adam in the Sistine Chapel, as we tour the Vatican City. Later we'll train as one of Caesar's Gladiator's.
