(Cause and Cosequence) The Quebec Act enlarged areas of Quebec, and changed the way Canada was governed. This change of boundaries angered the Americans, (was one of the intolerable acts) and helped spark the American Revoultion. The Quebec act would later turn into the Constitutional Act, which affects us today.

(Continuity and Change) Canada is now divided into Upper (Ontario) Canada and Lower (Quebec) parts. This is a big step towards Canadian confederation and independence as a nation. As Canada was steadily growing, the change in the changing in the areas helped found those areas that are still part of our nation.

(Cause and Consequence) A major North American conflict, Britains colonies would be extremely involved. It was the attacking Americans that united all the immigrants and natives that made up Canada, and these Canadians held the attackers at bay. If Britain had lost Canada to the Americans, there would be no Canada today.

(Historical Significance) John Franklin and his crew go missing whilst exploring the arctic. Expeditions throughout the Arctic and its many icy passageways were importnant in the lands early days, as the explorers were needing to map out a passage for commercial ships to travel between Europe and Asia. After Franklin's ship dissapeared, many other ships were seaching for him, and it was as they searched that they discovered and mapped much of Northern Canada.

Trudeau became the 15th PM of Canada in April 1968 until June 1979, and again from March 1980 until June 1984 when he resigned. He suffered from Parkinson's disease but died from prostate cancer shortly before his 81st birthday.
