Today, we got in groups of four to discuss heroes in books we have read in class. Two of the books that we discussed are To Kill A Mockingbird, where Atticus Finch was the hero and Tale of Two Cities, where Sydney Carton was the Hero.

Today in the library I chose to do my report on Clara Barton, a civil war nurse and founder of the American Red Cross. I chose her because I want to be a nurse, and without the American Red Cross I would not be able to have all the lifeguard training that I have.

Today we are looking for our online sources about our hero. I found a very good article on ABC-CLIO and another on Gale Group.

Despite not being able to find a book on Clara Barton at the CRHS library, I found one at the public library and also purchased one on my Kindle, that is Ms. Barton's autobiography.

Even though it's not due until Thursday, I finished up my first post so I went ahead and turned it in today!

Today, Mrs. Wade, the technology teacher, came and showed us how to post our blog to posterous.com using email. She also gave us some ideas and tips about doing our interview.
