Magwitch tells Pip and Herbert that when he helped a man named Compeyson with crimes Compeyson turned him in to jail. -
Miss Havishams Brother
Miss Havishams half brother, Arthur, also worked for Compeyson but felt so bad about what he did to a woman he went insane. Compeyson stood up Miss Havisham at the alter. -
On the lookout
Wemmick told Pip that Compeyson is now looking for Magwitch so Magwitch is hiding out at Herberts. -
Estellas Mother
Pip goes to dinner with Jagger and the house keeper, Molly, looks identical to Estella. Pip concludes that Estella is Molly's lost daughter. -
Pip Saves Miss Havisham
Pip goes out to the garden at the school after talking to Miss Havisham and has a strange dream Miss Havishame is dying. He looks up at her window and sees her fall in her fire. Pip rushes up stairs and saves Miss Havisham. -
Estellas Father
Magwitch earlier told Herbert and Pip he too felt bad about hurting a woman, like Arthur had, and it turns out it was Molly, Jaggers house keeper. Pip realizes that Magwitch's and Molly's storys match up and that Magwitch is Estella's father. -
They tell Jagger
Pip and Wemmick tell Jagger that Molly is Estella's mother, which wasn't easy to convince. But they decided not to tell him about Magwitch being Estellas father. -
Pip Gets the Note
Pip gets an mysterious note that is unsigned and states for him to go to the marshes alone. He travels nearby home and feels guilt for ditching Joe ever since he became a gentlemen. He then heads out to te marshes that night alone.
