  • French and Indian War

    This war was from 1756 to 1763. France's expansion brought conflict to them and Britain. Britain declared war on France. At the peace conference in 1763, the British got Canada and signed a peace treaty.

    Marie was the last queen of France that provoked the french revolution. Despite Marie's lavish lifestyle, she was nice to the public. She gave to the poor and even called her citizens her children.

    Maximillian Robespierre

    Son of a lawyer. He was awarded a scholarship for Louis le grand in Paris. He eventually became a lawyer at Arras. After making himself known he was appointed a judge at the Salle Épiscopale. In march 1789 he was chosen by the people to be a representative.

    Napoleon Bonaparte

    Napoleon was the second oldest between his siblings. Napoleon wanted to be more french which is the reason his last name is spelled different than his parents. Napoleon became affiliated with the jacobins at the start of the revolutionary. Napoleon had commanded a military group that was victorious over Austria. Napoleon was offered to take lead an invasion to England, and from that point on he just kind of took over.
  • Tennis Court Oath

    All members of the national assembly met at a tennis court and took an oath not to separate until a new constitution was created.
  • Storming of the Bastille

    This was a battle between France and bastille. The french went to take over bastille during their revolutions.
  • Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizens

    The national assembly finally decided to agree on seventeen articles. This showed the vision they had for the new government, where the king couldn't do whatever he wanted to.
  • Bread March

    There was a bread shortage so the price on bread had increased dramatically. The women weren't happy with this and decided to march on October 5. The women had kitchen knives, but later got more weapons at city hall. They eventually got the King and held him responsible.
  • Battle of Trafalgar

    This was the greatest victory against the French. Nelson led his troops brilliantly and not only became victorious, but also never lost a single ship.
  • Battle of Austerlitz

    This battle took place near Austerlitz. Napoleon tried to evacuate to create a trap but it desperately failed. This lead to Napoleon being defeated and having to retreat.
  • Invasion of Russia

    Napoleon thought he could execute the threat of Russia by trying to take it over. However, he ultimately failed and lost to Russia. This was the last time he was in control of France.
  • Napoleon Bonaparte's exile to Elba

    After Napoleon got power hungry and tried to take down everyone he saw and ultimately failing. The people of France exiled him to Elba.
  • Waterloo

    This was the start of Napoleons desperate act of power. He acted idiotic during this war and ended up costing his career because of it.
  • Napoleon Bonaparte's exile to St. Helena

    After being taken back in to rule again Napoleon decided he would try and take over Russia. After losing 40,000 soldiers the people of France decided to exile Napoleon for good.
  • The End of the Revolution

    After Napoleon failed towards the end of his reign, he was exiled. After Napoleon was exiled the french revolution ended.
  • Reign of Terror

    This was the time after King Louis was killed. Many people were executed even over little things. There was one lady that was killed over her friend lying about her. 30,000 people were executed during this time.
