    1801-1809 Thomas Jefferson was president of the United States he was a statesman, diplomat, lawyer, and more. He was also the vice president under John Adams before he became president. He was re-elected in 1804 and he made the Embargo act in response to the British threatening the U.S. ships. An accomplishment for him was writing the declaration of independence.

    James Madison helped write the Bill of Rights. Before he became president he was a states man, and diplomat. He was 5'4 therefore the shortest president of the present.
  • The war of 1812

    The war of 1812

    The war of 1812 lasted 2 years and 8 months. We fought one of our allies the British. It started because the British interfered with the U.S. ships.
  • James Monroe

    James Monroe

    James Monroe was one of the most diplomatic presidents. He was a slave owner in Westmoreland Virginia. After the war of 1812 the United States went through an era called the "Era of Good Feelings".
  • John Quincy Adams

    John Quincy Adams

    When he was 10 he went to Russia and was the secratary translator for Francis Dana. He was a lawyer before President George Washington. They rented a home before finally they bought a home at 244 F street previously owned by president James Monroe.

    He was elected as the general of Teneesees General Militia. Despite winning populaur vote he lost the election. People accused him of executing troop illegally.
  • Trail of tears

    Trail of tears

    The trail of tears was were over 150,000 natives live on over a milliuon acres of land. Then we made them move because they wanted to grow cotton in the area. Most of the natives died on the journey across the Missipi river.
