    St. Petersburg, Russia had a group of military officials as a revolt against Nicholas I. Nicholas I had a variety of regulations to prevent the spread of movement in Russia. The Decembrist Revolt of Russian officers led about 3,000 miles to protest against Nicholas I.

    Alexander II was the empeor of Russia from March 2, 1855 until his assassination in 1881. He was also the king of Poland and the Grand Prince of Finland.

    This was the first great war of the 20th century. It grew out of rival ambitions of the Russian Empire and the Empire of Japan over Manchuria and Korea. The major theatresof operations was southern Manchuria.

    This event was uprising of the people of Russia calling for a change in their government. It started with troops fireing at marchers in St. Pertersburg. Nicholas II struggled to keep control for nearly a year.

    When riots and strikes over the scarcity of food in St. Petersburg. There was 90,000 men and women on strike about shortage of fuel and bread. Mobs of workers also destroyed police stations.

    Czar Nicholas II abdicates the Russian throne
    Nicholas II was neither trained or inclined to rule. The outcome of the Russo-Japanese war led to the Russian Revolution of 1905. Nicholas later retracted his concessions and other revolutionary groups won wide support.
  • Bloody Sunday

    Bloody Sunday
    On this day thirteen males, seven who were teenagers died while the death of another man four and a half months later attributed to the injuries on that day. Protesters were also injured while being chased by army vehicles. Bloody Sunday still remains in Northern Ireland.
