    The war was between Sweden's Charles the seventh and Russia's Peter the Great. It was about who got to lead the Blatic region. Sweden lost and Russia won.

    There was small group of nobles and army officers that tried to take over the czar's government. Until Nicholas the first executed five leaders and exiled hundreds more to siberia. Later on they became heroes to the later generation.
  • The Assassination Of Alexander the Second

    Alexander was killed on St. Petersburg street by bomb that a member of the "People's Will Group". They wanted to overthrow the Russia's Czarist autocracy.
  • Czar Nicholas the 2nd abdicates the Russian Throne

    Czar Nicholas the 2nd abdicates the Russian Throne
    Nicholas was forced by the Petrograd insurgents and in his place they installed a Prvisional government. The Government introduced freedom of speech and of religion. Also for the first time Russia would have a government based on written laws rather than th czars rules.

    It was a war between Russia and Japan.
    The war was about abandoning its expansionist policy in the far east of Russia.

    Nicholas the second decided to finally agree to set up an elected assembly called a Duma and for other reforms. Except the Duma had only a little bit of power and the all the reformd failed to fix Russia's basic problems.
  • Bloody Sunday

    Bloody Sunday is when a when people were marching for their demands on St. Petersburg street. Then te cazr started to tell his guards to open fire. When the guards opened fire they killed hundreds of people. Then the people started to think the cazr was a bad person.

    Russia was only involved because Serbia was attacked.
    World War 1 also had a devastating impact on Russia.

    Riots and strikes started to happen in Petrograd which is the capital of Russia. Some soliders refused to fire on the crowds and hundreds of the soliders even joined the crowds. Then Nicholas the second gave up his thrown.
