    The Great Northern War basically Sweden hating all these countries: Russia, Denmark-Norway, and Saxony-Poland. Sweden had expanded their land into the Baltic Sea antagonizing neighbors. Russia was blocked from the Baltic Sea. In that case when the war was over Sweden influence was not allwoed in Russia.

  • The Decembrist Revot

    The Decembrist Revot
    One day a group of nobles and army men tryed to throw over the Czar of Russia. Once Czar Nicholas 1 heard about this he threw an uprising which is now known as The Decembrist Revolt. After it was all done he executed five of the leaders and sent most of the others to Siberia. Because Decembrist Revot was a fail, soon they became heros of later decades.

    Emancipation Manifesto means freeing the serfs basically. When the serfs were free they recevied movement and marriage rights. Alexander gave the serfs land but it was really, really expecive. That was bad shape for the serfs but at least they were free.

    Assassination of Alexander II
    Alexander was killed by some one from the streets throwing a bomb. The person who killed him was actually suppose to kill him several attempts ago but finally killed him. Who ever killed him was arrested and hanged.

    The Japenesse took Russians out of Russia for the expansion policy in the far east. This was also known as Asian power. They both also wanted domanaence of Korea and Manchuria.
  • Bloody Sunday

    Bloody Sunday
    One sunday there was some peaceful people marching by the Winter Palace. They were holding up pictures of Nicholas II and religous icons. Czar Nicholas was not in town so his uncle tried to stop it. Since he couldn't stop it, he told the police to fire on anyone. Bloody Sunday was the start of the Revolution of 1905.

    Czar Nicholas was attempting to take Russian government to constitutionanal monarchy. The revolution varied from ritots to strikes. People didn't want the new government.

  • Nicholas II Abdicates the Russian Throne

    Nicholas II Abdicates the Russian Throne
    Nicholas and his family were forced out of the palace. He was getting "de-throned". They were sent to another "secert" home in Sibera. They stayed there for a while and one day (July 16) his family gets asked to go down stairs. They all thought that they were taking a family photo, but a bunch of men came in the room. All of them had guns and shot the family to death. The men then took the family were no one would find them.

    The March Revolution was the first step in the Revolution of 1905.This was also the creation of the democracey- parliamentray. There was an overturn by the Bolsheviks.
