    France, wanting to conquer Morocco in Africa had the British to back them up. In 1905, Kaiser Wilhelm came to Morocco and guarantee'd to ensure Morocco's safety, causing France and Britain to be outraged at the Kaiser and Germany. This was also seen as a way for Germany to build a rival Empire to Britains exitsting one.

    Russia, Britain and France formed The Triple Entente as they were very scared of Germany's increasing power.

  • The Bosnian Crisis

    In 1908, Turkey had a revolution as Turkey was declined for a long time. Austria Hungary had taken advantage of this and took over some parts of Turkey, causing Serbia to become furious as Bosnia now had so many Serbs which Serbia had wished to rule.

    Bulgeria fought with their allies to gain more terriory causing the Second Balkan War.

    In Sarajevo, Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated by a Serbian. This is thought of the 'main' reason for the First World War.
