Event Leading Up to Russian Revolution

  • The Great Nothern War

    The Tarsdon of Russia contested the suprem of the Swedish Empire in the Northeren, Eastern and Central of Russia wich had won. The leaders of the anti-sweidish allies: Peter the Great (Russia), Fedrick (Denmark/Norway), Agustus II the Strong (Lithunia)
  • Decembrist Revolt

    Russian army soldiers led by 3,000 to protest against Bloody Nichola. This happened in the Senate Square in St. Peresburg,; in 1925 this event was named to the Decembrist Square which in 2008 got changed back to the Senate Square.
  • Czar Alexander II Emancipates the Serfs

    23 million serfs were freed from their lives or property and were givin many rights. They could buy land from their landlords, however the house hold serfs got freedon but no land. This day was also known as the Peasent Reform of 1861.
  • Assassination of Alexander II

    Alexander was assassinated in fron to the White Palace in St. Petersburg by a member of the revolutionary people. This had been organized/planned since 1879. The day he died he signed a constitutiona that would have created two legislative comissions made up of elected represenatives. Alexander tried to modernise Russia by abolishing serdom in 1861 but, whenever his authority was challened he turned very repressive and his people didn't like this.
  • World War I

    The growing influance of Geory Rasputin did a great deal of damage to the royal family, and by the end of 1917, the Romans who ruled for about 300 years, were no longer in charge of Russia. Since Nicholas dreamed of leading an army into battle he spent a lot of time at the Eastern Front leading people, and gibing orders, Leaving Alexandra, his wife, in charge. Which wasn't much of wise choice.
  • Bloody Sunday

    A group of people peacefully protested with big pictures of Nicholas and his family asking for food and peace Once they got there a group of soldiers and Nicholas opened fire and killed them all in cold blood. Later many riots, fights, and organization were started and Nicholas soon got a new nickname which he became known as "Bloody Nicholas."
  • The Russo-Japanesse War

    After the Sino-Japenese war in 1903, the nagotiation between Russia and Japan had been proved to be impartical. Japan offered to reconise Russia dominanse and Manchuria if Russia would reconise Kprea as a Japenese Sphere if INfluance, Russia declined and began the Russo-Japanese war in 1905.
  • Revolution of 1905

    Political and social riots were breaking out everywhere because of Bloody Sunday. Some of the protest were directed to the government ans dome to Nicholas; workers on strike, peasents rioting and militart muntany. This led to the estabilshment of Constitutional Monarchy.
  • Czar Nicholas II Abdicates the Russian Throne

    Czar Nicholas II abdicated the throne bacause in 1914 he led the country into another costly war. This left his people hungy, sick and dieing if not already dead. The people demanded rights and socialist reforms, A death sentence passed over Nichilas and the royal family right after a secret meeting.
  • March Revolution

    After this happeend this led to Czar Nicholas II abdicted his throne. Collapse of the imperial government, collapse of the provisional government and the creation of the Russian SFSR and the beginning to the Russian Civil War.
