    The peace of Augsburg was the German Princes having to decide between Lutheranism or Catholicism as their regions religion. The peace also permitted people who were of either religion to move freely through the country, ending the conflict between the groups.

    The French wars of religion was the war between Roman Catholics and Calvinist protestants that happened in France. The French Queen felt pity for the protestants but the Roman Catholics did not like that and so they massacred protestants at a rally in 1562. This sparked the war that would go on for 36 more years.

    Bartolomew's Day Massacre

    The King of France ordered assassins to kill off the Protestant leaders which ended up causing an entire massacre of violence against protestants. Angry mobs along with the assassins killed tens of thousands of protestants in one day. This massacre showed how horribly protestants were treated.
