This is the day I was born. I was born at SOMC in Portsmouth, Ohio. -
Starting School
When I started school, I knew I loved to read. My mother was a teacher and began reading with me at a very young age. -
Starting a new school
In the 7th grade, I moved from Lewis County, Kentucky to West Portsmouth, Ohio where I went to a new school and made new friends. -
Entering high school
This is the year I entered high school. I began to discover who I was and find my friend group. -
Beginning of College
Although I took post-secondary courses in high school, this was my first true year of college. This year I took my Intro to Education course and knew I chose the right career path. -
Engaged!
This day I got engaged (on my birthday) to the love of my life. -
Enrolling in EDRE2204
In this course, I hope to learn new ways to help students learn to read. As a future Intervention Specialist, this is important to me because it will be my job to help struggling readers to get better using phonics as well as other methods. I am excited to learn new ways to help my future students!
