  • Alexander I

    Alexander I
    Alexander I inherited the throne in 1801. He was more of a liberal ruler. He promoted education. He eased censhorship. He was also very concern for the peasentry. He was a popular ruler for what he belived in doing. Although his mind changed when Napolean started to invade Russia.
  • Alexander II

    Alexander II was born in April 17, 1818 in a town called Moscow.
  • Alexander I

    Sadly he died in the year 1825
    Results: at the end Russia got Finland and part of Poland under Alexander I rule
  • Alexander III

    Alexander III
    Alexander III was born in the year 1845. He took his fathers place after the assassination.
  • Alexander II

    Alexander II
    He came to the throne in 1855 during the Crimean War. The war started because Russia tried to take over the Ottoman Lands. They felt like they needed changes. In 1861 he issued a royal decree that involved emanicipation of freeing. As a result he set up a system of local goverment.

    Nicholas I was the Emperor of Russia from 1825 until 1855, known as one of the most reactionary of the Russian monarchs.

    Alexander III used Nicholas ideas to get rid of the reccuring liberal threat. He restored censorship,tried to wipe out all liberal and revoultionary ideas. Alexander also lunches a program on Russification which eliminates the cultures of non-russian people within the emipre. He also limited the amout of Jews that were allowed to study in universities.

    Bloody Sunday
    Bloody Sunday was also called the Bogside Massacre. This was an incident around the bogside area of Derry in Northern Ireland. Many civil right protectors were shot by soldiers, lots of workers lost faith and hope in Czar that day. Over 100 workers were killed this day and 300 were wounded,
  • Revolution of 1905

    The 1905 Revolution was an uprising of the people of Russia, all they wanted was change in their government. Tsar Nicholas II, regain control of the nation for almost a year. He created the October Manifesto, this document gave some civil liberties and rights to the Russian people.
  • Nicholas II

    Nicholas II
    Nicholas II ruled until 1894 until he had to give up the thrown on March 15, 1917. During the time he rules Russia, he saw it go from having great power to its military and economy callapse. He was nicknamed Bloody Nicholas because of the tragedy Bloody Sunday.
