    After a troublesome pregnancy and because of God's unending love and mercy, I was born on a Sunday morning, at 7 o'clock. I weighted 5.4 pounds and was like 40 centimeters long.

    I turned 1 year old and have put on a pink dress. At the end, I got my face smudged with cake.

    My little brother, Pablo, was born. He was also very little, asi I was.

    My first day of school I don't remember it quite well, but I only know that my grade was "Patitos" in "Pequeñitos" school.

    This was my last first school day with the same kids. I was a year ahead, but because up an upcoming trip, this was my last year with my original classmates.

    My family and I went to live to USA for 6 months. The plan was to stay there, but it didn't work out.

    My first best friend in USA was a black girl from kindergarden in a preeschool in the USA. I vaguely remember her but I now she was my best friend.

    Because of a fraud that was made to my parents, we returned to Guatemala penniless. We went to live to my granfathers's house on Mixco.

    My family and I returned to my before-USA home, in Oakland. This house is now where the store Yothaka, a furniture store, is in Oakland Avenue, zone 10.

    I know I have like a thing with my birthdays but they were special to me. In this birthday I broke a Pooh piñata and, in the middle of the celebration, a huge Pooh emerged from the school's door. I was happy but a little shy about it.

    My teeth were a little (a little too much) croocked. So the dental care and the little surprise was that I started using braces. Can you believe it?! Braces at 10!

    My mom, my brother and me went to Maryland, to visit my uncle, aunt, cousins, and brother. It was the first time I went there, but Ialeready knew my relatives from early trip they had made to Guatemala.

    I became "friends" with two girl that hurted me. They influenced me greatly, and I drifted a little from God. I call this part of my life "the walkaway", because of their influence on me. Despite all, this taught me very important lessons that a thank God I learned.
  • Loneliness

    At my eleven years, I learned how it is to be alone. This happened becuase I realized my "friends" weren't what they called themselves and I decided to be alone for half a scholar year. However, now I know I wasn't really alone. Jesus was always there.

    I became friend with a girl from my neighborhood that was 5 years older than me. Despite the age gap, we were really great friend for a long time. I will always thank God for her life and all she taught and cared for me.
  • Jamming Nights!

    In my church, the youth group finally started formaly. There I received love, and acceptance. This place was an instrument in God's plan for my life, and I thank Him for that and all the blessings He has given me there since I have been there.

    I accepted Jesus again in my heart. After a lot of hurt and vague years, I opened my heart to Jesus once again. His mercy is great and I know my life was and is in His hands since then.

    Yes. I had my first serious crush for someone at 11 (almost 12). He was a good guy, older than me for quite some years and from my youth group. For this same reason it was a one way thing, but it was good. It taught me different things, all for the praise of God.

    This day was the day when I was baptized in water. This day I left the old nature, the old man, and embraced the new creature I am in Jesus Christ. By the way, the water was a little cold, but the day was absolutely beautiful!

    In the past, I lost a lot of friends, but God brought more people into my life and I became friends with them. Since this day, most of them are still deared friends to me. Some have left, but I accept it and live in peace about it.

    I had my first party ever. It was for a friends birthday. I had a so-so time. It wasn't so bad, but the next day I didn't felt so well with my self for going there. Not that I had consumed something, but my heart wasn't at peace.

    In this year, I found a new friend in school. For different reason, our friendship enden in bas termns and i was "abandoned" again. But this didn't affected me. I knew now for certain Who was with me.
  • Graduation with honors

    That day I graduated from sixth grade, and thanks to God, I did it with honors. I remember some resentful loks my way that day, but nothing can overshadow the joy my family and I felt, and the great happiness that overcame me because of God's great mercy.

    We returned to Maryland for a visit to our relatives. This time we went to New York and went to other beautiful places. But the best was been with the family.

    I had a distant but new dream in my heart. This dream involved music, but I didn't knew if I was good for it. I was given the chance, because someone believed in me and God want it to be in my life. So since that day I have been studying diferent things of music, and it has been great.

    This day was my first singing show. It was the first time I sang with an audience so, as you might infer, it was kind of awful, but it was also a huge learning opportunity. This helped me to don't be soo nervous when I sing at church.

    Finally, the so long fifteen years came! The day was a thursday but it didn't matter. I was fifteen! And it felt good.
  • San Lucas Camp

    Before my trip to MD, I went to a camp. This camp was to help a community in San Lucas. My youth group and I stayed there for a week. It was a really eye-opening and special experience that will stay with me.
  • Flying SOLO

    So I turned fifteen on August. The tradition says you have to give party, but i decided to have a trip. So my parents sent me with my brother for Christmas and New Year. It was great!! I special experience.

    For Holy Week, my family and me went to Cancun. We hadn't gone there for 5 years, so it was nice to go. This time we enjoy it more, and the relax time was great.

    I turned sixteen on a Friday night, so it was great, but not for the reasons many people might think. My youth group is on friday nights so I could spend this important day with the people that i love.

    Normally, Christmas is a family celebration. For many years, my youth group had been celebrating Christmas in someone's house after 12 o'clock in, but my parents didn't let me go. This year that was different, and I can say it was one of the best Christmas I have had because I spend it with ALL the people I love. I am greatful to God for all of them!

    For the first time ever in my life, someone gave me flowers. It was a Sunday that this guy gave me flowers. It was really special because this guy is special and it was also the first time it happened to me.

    God gave me a great privilege and gift this day. He gave Ivan, my friend and piano teacher, the opportunity to sing in the Antigua Telethon, and I was given by Him the opportuniy to sing beside Ivan and other talented friends and musician. It was special, and despite all, a blessing!
  • Present day

    So this is my life till today. All that has happened has been in God's control, even if sometimes I haven't felt it that way. He has always been there. My Lord Jesus has never left me and for that and for many other things, for love, I will serve Him with all my heart and strength with my life, testimony and habilities, until He takes me with Him to my Heavenly Home.
