A British General, Jenkins, was caught raiding from Spanish ships, so the Spanish severed his ear and sent him back. Jenkins complained, and the British were furious, so they started a war with the Spanish. That war was called the war of Jenkins's ear.

The Spanish decided to raid the British at Fort Frederica on St. Simon's island. This was the deadliest day of the war of Jenkins's ear.

After the miserable fail of the Georgia colony, Oglethorpe and the Trustees return the colony to King George II. The colony was not due to expire until 1733, but they gave up on it early.

After John Reynolds took away the power of self-government and tried to rule the country by himself, the colonists sent him back to Britain and appointed Henry Ellis as the new Governor.

Henry Ellis was a good governor and all, but he got sick from the warm weather in Georgia and left. This left Georgia without a governor, so they appointed James Wright.

The revolutionary war begins. Due to John Reynolds having so much influence over the colonists, most colonists actually did not want to secede.
