    Fall of Paganism
    When emperor Julian the Apostate was in power Paganism was the main religion. Christianity was not as popular. Julian the Apostate was killed in battle in Persia. After this, his supporters didnt keep Paganism as the main religion. The next emperor, Constatine, turned to Christianity. This led to the downfall of Paganism and the rising of Christianity.

    Weak Gupta Leaders

    During the time period of 467-500 A.D.there were weak emperors of Gupta. Purugupta, Kumaragupta II, Budhagupta, Narasimhagupta, Kumaragupta III, Vishnugupta, Vainyapgupta, Bhanugupta were these leaders. Because of lack of control, the northwest territory was invaded and taken over by the Huns.

    Roman Empire Collapses

    In 476 the Huns have already attacked and taken over a good portion of the Roman Empire. Romulus Augustus is the last western emperor. He is defeated by the barbarian general Odoacer. He then takes over control of Italy. The Roman Empire is destroyed.

    Buddhism enters China
    Buddhism was brought into China through traders along the Silk Road in 50AD. Most of the Chinese were practicing Confucianism at the time. Buddhism was similar to another religion present in China, Taoism. This led to more of the Chinese taking an intrest in Buddhism. This also led to religious insability because most of China was practicing the same religions before Buddhism.

    By 55 A.D., the Huns have taken complete control over the Gupta empire. They went from the northwest to Ganges Valley, to central India. The passage ways the Huns used into India disrupted the trading. The government and the economy collapsed, ending the Gupta Empire.
  • The Split of the Roman Empire

    Diocletian is the ruler in 285. Diocletian decides to split Rome into western and eastern halves. He appoints Maximum as the ruler of one of the other halves.He also appoints two junior emperors, one for each side. Now there are succersors to the crown. When the sides are in an aurgument though, it causes a civil war.

    In about 180AD in the Han Dynasty, the goverment was having trouble collecting taxes. The poor would often hide from the tax collectors until they left. This caused the government to loose money which they needed to support the armies to protect China from invaders. The court also needed funds but since taxes werent being payed, the court wasnt getting money. This led to ecomonic instablility and higher taxes.
