Jackie Robinson Joins the MLB
On April 15th, 1947, the civil world was moved as Jackie Robinson became the first African-American to join Major League Baseball. This decision was a start of the eradication of the "color line" that had been instituted for decades. Robinson's recruitment was one of the first acts of civil-disobedience that would influence more movements in favor of civil equality. -

In the May of 1954, Supreme Court held the Brown v. Board of Education case
