    By 1927 Communists and Nationalists where fighting a very hard and violent civil war, Mao was a Communist that convinced the peasants to join the Red Army, Nationalists attacked the communists but failed to win.

    Jiang gatherd an army of 700,000 men, they then surrounded the mountains where the communists where hidding forcing them to leave making a 1 year log walk to get to a safer place.

    After the long march more than half of the army of the Communist was dead, diyng or sick because of the Long March. This gave the Nationalists party an advantage over the others, they are not only bigger in number but they have a bigger support of other countries.
