    Identifies some letters of the alphabet and a few numbers.

    Girls want to play more with girls. Boys with boys.
    Can tie shoelaces.
    Can begin to understand time and days of the week.
  • 10 years old

    Increased interest in competitive sports.
    Girls may begin menstruate.
    May be very interested in discussing a future career.
