Germany and Austria-Hungary created a treaty to prevent and war/conflict. In addition Austria-Hungary would aid Germany if they had another conflict or war with Russia

Triple alliance created

The Triple Alliance was created on this date. It was made up of Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Italy. This was made so that there was a strong defenese in Europe.
