    The Moors were searching to expand their empire , threatening the army of Charles Martel.He had camped on a wooded hill, forcing the Moors to attack uphill. It is one of the only times in history that an infantry force withstood a mounted attack.The Moors returned to Spain.

    Pepin the Short, son of Charle Martel asked Pope Zachary to make him the king of the Franks. Pope Zachary agrees but has St. Boniface annoint him instead of doing it hmelf, which takes some of the honor out of it.
