Summer Visitation
Caleb visited VA and spent his summer riding horses and playing water games at daycare. He particularly looked forward to days that I brought milkshakes to DayCare. We would sit on the little patio outside and play "I Spy" while we sipped on them. We would always laugh a lot. We left the large stump in our yard because we knew it was his favorite place on the property. He dubbed it "the Woodland Mothers." His favorite pass time is whacking everything with a stick outside. -
NCO Ceremony
Caleb had been wanting me to become a Sgt, as that is his favorite rank. While I knew that was impossible without another enlistment given the new MC order, I knew he would be excited to promote me to the rank of Cpl. Dominic and Titus pinned my ranks onto my collar, then Caleb carefully draped the blood stripe over my military bun. They were all very nervous about the ceremony, but obviously very proud of me. I had been assigned barracks Duty NCO the day that I was promoted.
