  • Anti-differentiation etc

    Anti-differentiation etc
Page on Average Values of Integrals and the MVTWe reviewed integration using rieman sums, the trapezoidal rule, and several of the important theorems like FTC, MVT, and SFT. I will need to review the trapezoidal/rieman sum stuff because although i understand the concept, i never have memorized it well. We also learned about the Average Value thing with 1 over b-a times an integral. I remember using that alot on the AB AP.
  • Diff EQ Review

    Diff EQ Review
We mentioned slope fields, no problems there, eulers was easy to remember. Its important to remember that dy/dt=ky => Ce^kt.
  • Convergence/Divergence

    Convergence/Divergence
This was the toughest unit for me ( and im sure alot of others). Going over it again felt good, and i felt fairly confident with all that was covered. Im making flash cards to remember all of the details for each method (ie. Alt Ser Test remainder is first neglected term... etc). Still, given a worksheet with these questions i feel very unequipped.
  • Taylor Polynomials/Power Series

    Taylor Polynomials/Power Series
I understand that Taylor approx functions and approach the more derivatives you use, and luckily, i was in the group that presented the LaGrange Error Bound/ Actual Error so i have a little more expertise there. I do recall the a/(1-r) and we practiced that in the MJ on the 25th so i feel good with geom series. Flashcards will be made for the further minutia (ie geom series dont have to have their endpoints tested.)
I still should remember the Maclaurin series for e^x, sinx, cosx and 1/x
  • AP problem practice

went over 3 problems with a partner, i dont know what score we got, but my first impression was that we did poorly. We skipped most of 1 and both of us werent entirely comfortable with 2 and 3. HW practice with non calc problems (4,5,6 on pink sheet) were done today. I felt very proud that i retaught myself related rates. Only trouble was with evaluating an integral from 1 to infinity on the last part of #6
