The Bolshevik was a political party in Russia. The citizens created this political party. The creator of it was Vladimir Lenin, and Joseph Stalin helped organize it too. Bolshevik means singular majority. This means it was 1 solid majority. It was classified as Marxist Russian Social Democratic Labor Party (RSDLP). -
February Revolution
In 1917 there was two revolutions. There was the February and the October Revolution. The main revolution was the October Revolution but the reason for it was the events in the February revolution. Czar Nicholas II didnt meet the standards to rule Russia, so the people of Russia rebbelled against him and removed him from power. Bolshevik did not have a lot of support from the people. The people were very happy celebrated because they had gained their freedom, -
Provisional Goverment Established
Czar Nicholas II was dethroned in Russia during this, the febuary revolution. The Provisional Goverment was formed to replace Czar a leader. The provisional goverment was very weak and didnt do much. They failed to keep their promises of ending russias involvment in the war. They kept Russia in the war and just made things worse for themselves and for Russia. -

Lenin Returns From Exile
Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, leader of the Bolsheviks, was exiled when the February Revolution happend. Once the Provisional Government allowed him back, Lenin took a train in Zurich, Switzerland and headed home. On April 3, 1917, Lenin arrived at the Finland Train Station. Tens of thousands of workers and soldiers had come to the station to welcome him. There were cheers and a sea of red, waving flags.Celebrating his arrivle. -

Bolshevik soldiers invaded the Winter Palace and arrested some of the people from the provisional goverment. This event is also referred as the "bloodless coup" and put the Bolshevik in power. They gained more power through the elections as well. A onth later when they held the elections again the Bolsheviks failed to win the majority votes. -

Russian goverment gets overthrown
When the russian goverment was overthrown by Lenin it was a big fall in 1917. The goverment was not working properly. The provisional goverment was not strong enough and unpopular among the people in Russia. It was mostly popular with the people who wanted the Bolsheviks to have power. So they stepped in and took charge. -
Vladimir Lenin Dies
Vladimir Lenin the leader of the Bolshevik Revolution and the first leader of the Soviet Union, dies of a brain hemorrhage at the age of 54. He was arrested and exiled to Siberia in 1897 and was exiled for s total of 20 years befre returning to Russia. Lenin was one of the biggest if not biggest contributor to the bolshevik revolution.
