Hernan Cortes and His Men

2 years after the appearance of a comet (believed to signify 'impending doom') Hernan Cortes and 600 of his finest men appeared in Tenochtitlán, after searching for awhile to find riches and other land. And thats exactly what they found.

Welcoming and Discovery

Moctezuma II, the current king of the Aztecs warmly welcomed Hernan into his empire with the belief that he was a god, come to him in human form.
The Aztecs showered them with everything, showing them their ways and how they work. They showed them their foods, weapons and other resources that was plentiful to them (e.g gold, corn, quinoa etc).
Once Hernan and his men noticed tht there was lots of gold and gold had almost no value to the Aztecs, they wanted it all.

Attempts

Jul 1, 1520

For this year, the tenth king, Cuitahuac, began his rein of Tenochtitlán, but didn't know it wouldn't last very long.
But also this year the Spanish lost many men due to allying with Tlaxcala to make attack on the empire, in an attempt to bring it down.
Cuitahuac soon enough died from small pox, a disease the Spanish brought over with themselves. He very soon got replace by the 11th and last king, Cuauhetemoc.

Surrender

Aug 13, 1520

In the year of 1520 Cuauhetemoc and the rest of Tenochtitlán fell at the feet of the Soanish, surrendering due to the weakness of their society, from being serparated from the world. They have no immunity or strength against simple things such as the cold or small pox, and they died out, letting Hernn and his men demolish their city to rebuild and make a new place, with Christianity and churches, new lives and rules.
