Armenian Genocide: The People

  • Property Vandalized

    Property and Stores specifically in the city of "Van" that were Armenian owned were trashed, burned down etc. The orders were actually given by people in the Turkish goverment.
  • Order Was Given

    The order to exterminate Armenians were given to local goverments by leaders of the union committee
  • Villages Attacked

    The populations of cities like "Van" are attacked, the villages and people are destroyed. Over 80 villages gone and 24,000 Armenians killed.
  • Genocide Begins

    Over 800 Armenian writers, and leaders, and thinkers were arrested and killed. This day also represents the start of the genocide and is the day modern day armenians remembers it's victims.
  • Deportation of Population: Dyurt Yol's

    The population of "Dyurt Yol's" is beginning to be Taken and Deported.
  • Deportation of Population: Erzerum

    Turkish Soldiers begin to remove and deport people living the Erzerum area.
  • Abandoned Armenian Property

    On this day a law that states "instructions pertaining to property and real estate abandoned by the deported Armenians, consequences of the war and unusual political circumstances". That law meant that anything abandoned regardless of what that's armenian owned is to become instaleed with Turkish Refugees
  • Massacre in: Balu

    Over 12,000 Armeenians that were in the Turkish army were killed
  • Deportation of Population: Shapin Garahisar

    More attempts at deportation were going in a place called Shapin Garahiar, Armenians tried to defend themselves but were killed and removed.
  • Public Execution

    21 Leaders of a Turkish Army, were publicly hung in Constantinople.
  • Deportation of Population: Shabin Karahissar

    People in Shabin Karahissar are killed and or Deported
  • Deportation of Population: Silva

    Removal and Deportation of the Silva population begun
  • Deportation of Population: Samsun

    Removals and Deportations of people in Samsun begun
  • Massacres

    Massacres begin in places such as Mush, Sassun and Bitlis vilayets
  • Deportation of Population: Smyrna, Brusa, Bartizak, Adabazar

    Even MORE deportations and killings from many places at once, from Smyrna, Brusa, Bartizak, and Adabazar
  • Deportation of Population: West Asia Minor and Cilicia

    Deportations from multiple places at one, from West Asia Minor and Cilicia.
  • Property Ceased

    TheOttoman parliament passed the "Temporary Law of Expropriation and Confiscation" which pretty much said that anything that was owned by Armenians was to be taken by authorities.
